McGrath Real Estate tailored our team approach to property management to blend with the typical life cycle of property management. Initially, you will meet with one of our experienced Management Consultants to discuss the management of your home in Northern Virginia. We find it very valuable to schedule a time to meet with you at your property for a no-obligation, property management consultation. At this time we will provide you with comparables on how to position your home on the Northern Virginia market, discuss a marketing strategy for your home, as well as suggest any improvements that may make your home more marketable. If you decide to hire McGrath Real Estate, your first initial communication will be with the Leasing team.

The Leasing team guides you from the preparation and listing of your home to your owner “pack-out”, which ensures all loose ends are tied up. Throughout the marketing of your home, the leasing team will update you on activity through the home and feedback we’ve received from Realtors, perform thorough background checks for all applicants and present the information to you with our recommendation. Once you have accepted applicants, the team prepares and executes the lease. At this point, McGrath Real Estate will completely take over day to day management of your Northern Virginia home.

Our Client Advocate team was developed to be your primary point of contact throughout your experience as a landlord. They will act as your “guide” as you navigate the management of your property by discussing inspection reports, reporting requested repairs, discussing any issues that arise at the property, etc. If you ever have a question regarding your property, Client Advocate is the department you need to talk to.

When your property comes up for renewal, the Leasing team will step back in to provide you with updated information on the Northern Virginia real estate market, our recommendation for renewal or remarket, conduct an assessment of the home to ensure the home shows well and, again, market the home and find a tenant. During that time, Client Advocate will be involved and provide you advice to minimize vacancy and maximize rent potential.

The final stage of management will be the closing of your account. Whether you plan to move back into the residence or you wish to sell the home, we will ensure that the coordination of your return, the return walk-through of your home and the closing of your account go as smoothly as possible. Our dedicated Sales Team can assist you in selling your home and offers discounted services to our property management clients.
